Kiddushim Print

falafel.jpgIt has been the practice in the Synagogue for several years for the parents of B'nei Mitzvah to provide a kiddush following the service to enable the assembled congregation to join with them in celebrating their simcha.

The 'simcha kiddush' is organised by the Task Force, and the charge is £150 for up to 100 personal guests and an extra £50 for every 50 persons above 100. The kiddush includes dips, crackers, cake and crisps in addition to the wine, orange juice and butter biscuits normally provided at a standard kiddush.

Council has agreed to celebrants providing an 'enhanced kiddush' if they so wish, in addition to the kiddush mentioned above.  Arrangements should be made with one of the following catering firms: Nosher's (t: 020 8429 4900), Buckingham's (t: 020 8954 2837) and Steve's (t: 020 8958 9446), all of whom can provide platters of bridge rolls/bagels, fish balls and fruit. Please remember that we have a non-meat kitchen and that home-made food will not be permitted.

Whilst we are happy for you to provide this extra facility for your special occasion, we wish to stress that you should not feel obliged to supply any extra food over and above our own simcha kiddush, which we feel remains extremely adequate.
